Newsletter 1-10

Welcome Back! We had a super week and enjoyed getting back into our third grade groove.  In Writing, students created plans and began to draft narrative stories. In Reading, students were making connections to characters and events in the BFG. Our Multiplication journey continued this week as we explored 6s.  Next week, we will explore 5s and 10s facts.  In Science students were observing maps to compare the weather across the United States. Students explained which   tools are best to use when measuring certain weather conditions.  Next week, we will observe and represent data in tables and graph data to describe temperature and precipitation in Seattle.  In spelling, our focus was homonyms.  We had a fun end to the week observing and predicting chemical changes with puddy!
